These animals are able to still live their normal lives as they would in the wild, but we are able to benefit from sanctuaries because we are still able to learn from and enjoy them, and better yet, acting just as they would outside of the sanctuary, almost as if we weren’t even there. Zoos are meant for people to be able to visit to see animals and the way they act and circuses are meant for the sole reason of human entertainment. Personally, I know I would rather see the animal in their natural habitat in a sanctuary, acting as it would outside of the sanctuary, not in an enclosure at the zoo or a ring at the circus. If a person pays money to observe animals and their actions, wouldn’t you rather see them acting as they would in the wild?
Zoos and circuses abuse animals, so we need an alternative to give the
same benefits (educational experience, good time, etc) to customers without using an industry that harms animals. It is necessary that we save the animals and treat them with better care, while still being able to enjoy them just in their natural habitats. It will create a safe environment for animals to live while being observed in their normal environments. Animals will live in healthier conditions because they are not being treated differently than they would be in the wild; no physical or mental harm from humans will be brought upon these creatures. With an alternative option such as this, we will be helping to remove the current support for industries that harm animals, and people will also still get the benefits they do from zoos the animals just will no longer be abused.
Below you can see a young boy and a young girl experience a safari for the first time and although it is not specifically just a safari, why can't all kids learn about animals the same way they did?
